Wind

As all weekends should start, had a great workout at the Y this morning followed by breakfast at Joe's Grill. I find that I do enjoy getting out for a workout after a relaxing start to the morning over a couple cups of coffee.

The wind last night was crazy. Balcony doors rattling along with anything that might be loose out there. It continued throughout the day and along with the cold air, made it pretty ugly outside even if the sun was shining. We did finally get rid of some old electronics today. When we got the flat screen TV, rather than send the old tube TV back for recycling, we moved it into the spare room thinking it would be better than the 30 year small one. Well, as it turned out, we never used it for anything. It just sat there taking up space. So along with an old mini stereo system that tried to eat CD's, and two old desktop computers (one a whole 5GB that doesn't even have enough power to turn on), and a weird looking old notebook, it was off to the recycling centre. Our friend Derek was kind enough to take us there in his suburban. It was a quick 20 minute there and back and it was all done. Happy to purge. It would have been nice to be able to give them to someone, but as they didn't work well at all, I felt it would not be a nice thing to give someone something that didn't really work well (or at all). Better they get recycled for used parts.

As it was cold out, it was a great day to sit at home and do some updating of information on the computer. So that is just what I did. While the wind rattled the outsides, we stayed home in a nice, warm, sunny suite taking it easy on our last couple days before we have to go back to work. Watching a movie now, The Green Hornet with Seth Rogan. Looks like it may be a little funny, so going to sign off and be back here tomorrow on the last day of vacation. Have a great night!
